Best Looks from NYFW 2016! #Favourites

So this year I was really excited about the New York Fashion Week and some of the looks presented on the runway were drop dead gorgeous. In this post I’m going to give you some of my favourite looks from NYFW 2016! Lets get started! :D

Marchesa:

And what pretty birds they were. Criss-cross goddess gowns done in white, cream and pastel chiffon pleats had balletic feathers at the bodice, while others had skirts coffered in the short fluttery stuff.

Ralph Lauren:

DKNY:

Pinstripe dresses walked in loose sporty shapes and more tailored dresses with a feminine shape. It came in overcoats, blazers, double-breasted sleeveless dresses. If you love a stripe, this is your season.

Delpozo:

A bounty of color and sequins swirled in sculpted ball gown skirts, minis and collared dresses, all with exaggerated proportions.

But for Delpozo ended on a quieter—yet equally dramatic—note, with a pair of pale pink chiffon gowns covered in blue sequin floral sprays. They were absolutely breathtaking.

Rodarte:

Their clothes are meant for the runway, the red carpet and the big screen. They’re full of drama and wit, and as their current collaborations with friends like Kirsten Dunst and Tavi prove, this could be where they’re headed.

Vera Wang:

Wang introduced volume and colorful relief halfway through via a trio of cherry red taffeta dresses that offered drama and set up her finale nicely.

Tory Burch:

An iridescent organza top and skirt in white emphasizes the contrast of natural against glamour—Talitha Getty in her gilded finery against the Moroccan desert comes to mind

Carolina Herrera:

But happiness and design chops are not mutually exclusive. Herrera showed cut-out looks throughout the lineup—tops, skirts and dresses whose sheer thin lines offered keen visual interest and grounded the cotton candy prettiness.

Jonathan Simkhai:

And speaking of Tulum, the bride could definitely wear long-sleeve white macrame Simkhai for a very chic evening beachside affair. A new category for the designer, perhaps?

Thakoon:

It was the pajama dressing and looks with a more romantic feel that really worked, like a trio of looks in a marigold tie-dye. They were soft, feminine and utterly pretty.

Zimmermann:

Naeem Khan:

Jill Stuart:

Dion Lee:

So these are some of my favourite looks from NYFW 2016 ladies!!
Till next time, shop-it-all and keep it stylish! ;)
Au revoir! :)
