Best Looks from NYFW 2016! #Favourites

So this year I was really excited about the New York Fashion Week and some of the looks presented on the runway were drop dead gorgeous. In this post I’m going to give you some of my favourite looks from NYFW 2016! Lets get started! :D

Marchesa:

And what pretty birds they were. Criss-cross goddess gowns done in white, cream and pastel chiffon pleats had balletic feathers at the bodice, while others had skirts coffered in the short fluttery stuff.

Ralph Lauren:

DKNY:

Pinstripe dresses walked in loose sporty shapes and more tailored dresses with a feminine shape. It came in overcoats, blazers, double-breasted sleeveless dresses. If you love a stripe, this is your season.

Delpozo:

A bounty of color and sequins swirled in sculpted ball gown skirts, minis and collared dresses, all with exaggerated proportions.

But for Delpozo ended on a quieter—yet equally dramatic—note, with a pair of pale pink chiffon gowns covered in blue sequin floral sprays. They were absolutely breathtaking.

Rodarte:

Their clothes are meant for the runway, the red carpet and the big screen. They’re full of drama and wit, and as their current collaborations with friends like Kirsten Dunst and Tavi prove, this could be where they’re headed.

Vera Wang:

Wang introduced volume and colorful relief halfway through via a trio of cherry red taffeta dresses that offered drama and set up her finale nicely.

Tory Burch:

An iridescent organza top and skirt in white emphasizes the contrast of natural against glamour—Talitha Getty in her gilded finery against the Moroccan desert comes to mind

Carolina Herrera:

But happiness and design chops are not mutually exclusive. Herrera showed cut-out looks throughout the lineup—tops, skirts and dresses whose sheer thin lines offered keen visual interest and grounded the cotton candy prettiness.

Jonathan Simkhai:

And speaking of Tulum, the bride could definitely wear long-sleeve white macrame Simkhai for a very chic evening beachside affair. A new category for the designer, perhaps?

Thakoon:

It was the pajama dressing and looks with a more romantic feel that really worked, like a trio of looks in a marigold tie-dye. They were soft, feminine and utterly pretty.

Zimmermann:

Naeem Khan:

Jill Stuart:

Dion Lee:

So these are some of my favourite looks from NYFW 2016 ladies!!
Till next time, shop-it-all and keep it stylish! ;)
Au revoir! :)

Feel like there’s nothing to wear? Don’t worry, try these! :) #Essentials

Hello there my beautiful girlies!!! ^_^ Aren’t there times when you go to your closet, have a look at everything and feel like you have absolutely NOTHING apt to wear?? It happens with me so often that I decided to make a post on what can we do at such times!! There are super easy ways to make you look good, stylish without plainly repeating your same old boring clothes that you don’t want to wear! The solution mainly lies in Mix N Match, so lets get started!! ;) :D

Layering:

Take any pieces that you’re sick of wearing and layer them! Grab a dress you’ve worn too often and throw a sweater over it. You could even try wearing a few different button-downs layered over each other. No matter what you decide to wear, layering a few old pieces creates an entirely new outfit!

Add Jewellery:

We all have those outfits that we’ve worn just a few too many times. If you have one that you’re kind of sick of but can’t think of anything else to wear, wear it. But don’t stop there. Add jewellery and accessories until it looks like an entirely new outfit. Weirdly enough, adding accessories will make an outfit feel fresh! ;)

Pair Fancy with Casual:

A lot of the times, we all classify our wardrobe in two separate categories: fancy and casual. In our minds, those categories should never, ever cross over. Don’t let your mind think like that! Instead, wear some of your fancier pieces with your casual pieces. Pair your blazer with a pair of jeans. Wear your most elegant pair of heels with a jean jacket. No matter what you wear, if you create a little hybrid of styles, you’ll look so stylish! :)

Crazy Pair of Shoes:

You wouldn’t think this is the case, because shoes are such a tiny part of an outfit, but wearing a pair of crazy shoes can draw the attention away from any drab outfit. Wear a neon pair of heels or leopard print booties for a look that’s sure to catch everyone’s attention! ;)

Colour Block:

Monochromatic is a fun trend, but so is wearing bright colors. Go for a mixture of the two by wearing a bright colored top and a different bright colored pair of pants. It’s a way to look stylish and chic without trying too hard, and you probably already have the pieces in your closet!

So there you go ladies!! Next time you think you have nothing new and interesting to wear, keep the above styles in mind and you’d rock the day! ;)
Till next time, shop-it-all and keep it stylish! ;)
Au revoir! :)

Skirts every girl should own!! #Essentials

Hey there beautiful ladies!! Hope you all had a wonderful Valentines day! :D I’m back with a new post and this one’s on skirts every girl must have. We all know that a black dress, white shirt and good old jeans are something that every woman should have in her closet but a lot of women don’t have any skirts at all in their wardrobe. They may think that it’s easier to just keep a few classic dresses on hand, however, skirts are so versatile, because they can be switched up and worn with a variety of different tops. If you’re looking to add some skirts to your wardrobe, these skirts are definitely where you should start! So lets get started!! ;)

Pencil Skirt:

A great formal and office option, pencil skirts are usually knee-length and form fitting. The perfect combination with blazers, pencil skirts are definitely among the skirts you should own, since they can also be flattering for most body types.

Pleated Skirt:

When teamed with crop tops, these skirts look amazing and give you a classic look girlies! :)

Mini Skirt:

No list of skirts you should own would be complete without mini skirts.

A-line Skirt:

Flattering to all body types, an A-line skirt can add curves for slim women with a straight figure, but they’re also a great choice for plus-size women since it puts emphasis on the waist and hides the hips.

Maxi Skirt:

A maxi skirt adds a beach vibe to a typical, plain outfit. It will make you feel like you’re ready for the perfect day at the beach! ;) :D

Circle Skirt:

These skirts are so in right now that you absolutely need a pair, atleast!! They go with almost any kind of top, be it crop or tube and make you look super stylish!
So girlies, these were my absolute favourite must have skirts for every girl!! Hope this post helps you find some of your favourites and add them to your wardrobe!! Happy shopping all you shopaholics! ^_^ :D
Until next time, shop-it-all and keep it stylish! ;)
Au revoir! :)
